Is four hours enough time?

For over a decade, we have been providing leak detection at a fixed cost, that has not increased. 

We have tried a purely hourly cost, but this was problematic as clients were (understandably) keen to see the leak detection finished, or mistook the first hour’s price as the whole day.

We have settled on a fixed amount that covers most average leak detections, whether heating or water supplies. This average is about 4 hours, so we have a fixed cost for leak detection to cover this, rather than a higher price for all.

Where a system is in poor condition, complicated or very large, the additional time taken is reflected in the cost; we felt this is fair to all clients to pay for what their installation requires on the day.
